He was only 40 and at the time I did not grasp how young that was. I was not a fan then, in part due to Yoko and some of the things John had said and done.

Thanks Tf06 for the Lennon videos. I have to admit I didn’t “get” the Beatles or Lennon back in 1980. And while I remember the tragedy and the sadness reported about that day in December. I still didn’t appreciate the man or the music. Ah, the folly of my youth! I have evolved!

I agree with you, Anne. I just want to hear the music and see a singer who feels it in his/her soul. I do not want to see all the glitz, glitter and outrageous behavior.
