TF, no, Matt Nathanson and Will Hoge never opened for Taylor. They are two great musicians that are finding their own way in the crazy music business. I’ve never seen Nathanson live, but I have seen Will Hoge, and he is phenomenal. If you ever get the chance, check him out. I think right now he’s in London, but this spring he’s doing a ten city tour all over the US.

Another female artist that I love is Nora Jones. There’s something about her voice and style that sweep me away. She will never go out of style either.

I do love Bonnie and that song, just surprised it was an ’09 list.
A favorite female artist of mine, besides the incomparable Linda Ronstadt, is Basia. Not a fan initially, but with each release I got hooked more and more. Sometimes that happens. lI have all 7 of her cd’s and strongly recommend “The Sweetest Illusion”. It’s like buttah. A big stick of buttah. Trust me when I say that EVERY track will grow on you. Major highlights include “Yearning”, “She Deserves It/Rachel’s Wedding”, and “Third Time Lucky”. I could go on and on..

I liked James Blunt’s song when it first came out but now I cringe every time I hear it. LOL. Don’t know why. Maybe it was just played so much on the radio and reached my breaking point. Kind of like to way Daughtry affects me now although I liked some of his songs to begin with.

Nora Jones is coming to the Saenger in Mobile in March. Got a lot of friends going but I don’t really know her music. People rave about her. I guess I should check her out.

Thanks cf. Knew the first song, just didn’t realize she was the singer. Love the Elvis tune, although loved the Elvis version more. She is very good, might be a little too mellow for me for a 2 hour concert. Thanks for the Nora lession.

My beloved cat that passed away last year would stand up on his hind legs and lean on the entertainment center every time we’d play James Blunt’s video on the On Demand channel. The cat would stay in that position the entire time that the video was on and watch the video. When James Blunnt fell into the water, the cat would tilt his head and meow as if to wonder where he went. It was the only time he paid attention to the tv. Every time I hear “You’re Beautiful,” I miss my fur baby all over again.

I think You’re Beautiful is the most overated song of the decade along with Mr. Blunt. I almost thought people were kidding and had him on all the TV shows. I can understand why a cat might be fascinated with the video. He/she was looking for the squeeling mice in the video. Wonder if that song and many of Lamberts hurt dogs ears.

To James Blunt’s, “You’re Beautiful” I say – HATED IT!
Actually on my dvr’s recording of WATW, there was some filler of James Blunt between programs and there was a song he sang that was “beautiful”. I’ll have to go back to listen again, but it just goes to show if you don’t care for one artist’s song, he may surprise you with another.
I wonder if anyone would consider him d-list at this point…

mama-Yes, they sure do. And talk about curious. He wanted to know everything! He spent two weeks in the bathroom sitting on a shelf. We had no idea why he was so fascinated with the bathroom, but he would not budge from that shelf unless he had to eat. He watched our every move in there. Well one morning my daughter was getting ready for school and went in the bathroom. She screamed at the top of her lungs for everyone to come in the bathroom. We all ran in the bathroom and the cat was going potty in the toilet! The kids and I were floored. Finally I said “Uh, I guess we all clap now like I did when you kids went potty.” LOL So the kids and I were clapping like four idiots because the cat went potty. LOL Then that was it. He left the bathroom and didn’t take up residence in there any more. But the litter box was eliminated. He would only go potty on the toilet from then on. He taught himself. I think he spent so much time in there because he was studying us to see how it was done. LOL I miss that cat so much. I also lost my 16yo lab on Jan 1 of last year. It is giong to be a long time before I get another pet. Two in one year was hard.

Adam Lambert: Hey guys!! I love that you want to support my music and call in requests, but please be mindful of them. Open House Party is a great supporter of my songs, but when there is an organized group of fans calling stations it becomes obvious to those stations what is going on and it understandably upsets them.

Oh PurpleButterflies, your dog and cat sound like they were great pets. I hope you can get to the point of being able to adopt a couple from the animal shelter before too long. There are so many needing homes particularly with the economy the way it is. I know you get so attached to them that it is hard to go through losing one again. But when you think about the love they have to offer and it is wonderful if a responsible individual can accept that love and responsibility. Sorry, you can tell I am an animal lover.

Someone already received their copy today. The TV video promotion for the new season of AI shows all the winners except for Taylor. Daughtry appears in place of Tay and that is just wrong.

Yeah, it’s like hits on Google. I’m afraid i can’t get into all that. It’s like voting over and over for Taylor on a random poll. It just doesn’t mean anything and seems to me at least to be generally a waste of my time. I would love for Taylor to be wildly popular again but I doubt a few of us tweeting about Whomp at the Warfield is going to do much. I did order it though and Amazon said I should receive it early next week.

Did anyone catch that “so called” talent, Robin Thicke”, on Chelsea Lately last night. I’m even more less impressed. He really comes across as a tool and a poser. He seems odd. And as I had mentioned before, that hair of his is ridiculous. It’s not cool or hip. Why he has a fan base is beyond me. Different strokes… And does Oprah really listen to his music? I really doubt it. I would guess it’s VERY low on her priority list. It’s it obvious I just don’t like this guy. I tried to listen to his cd but it’s just horrible. That voice. …ewww! Chelsea even seemed awkward. I like SO many artists and can usually find some appeal with others, but this guy is just a flat line to me. I just had to get this out of my system. Sorry about the length here.
I’ll finish on a positive by saying that Chelsea’s interview with Taylor was so much better. That I could sit through.

re: WATW DVD – I had pre-ordered mine from Barnes & Noble – just got an email from them saying the delivery is DELAYED due to – “Unfortunately, we just got word that the release date for this item(s) has been changed.”
