I feel that the SP has ended up hurting Taylor because there were many times when it was about the fans and not about Taylor. It's like the fans want the limelight. Jordin Sparks has passed him up and all the Idol winners have had cd sales well over a million and it's still too early for David Cook, but my guess is that David Cook will also pass Taylor up given more time. As for the Parrot Head v Soul Patrol discussion, the thing that interests me is that both groups are a sense of community for their fans. From non-concert get-togethers, to charitable work, both groups extend their appreciation for their musician to other interests beyond music. The social dynamic is interesting.
